A constable, K. Chandrasagar, working with the Central
Reserve Protection Force (CRPF) in Chattisgarh, was allegedly beaten to
death by his wife and in-laws. The constable, a native of
Viswanathapalli village in Krishna district, married Ch. Roja Rani, a
native of Dharmajigudem village in West Godavari district.
Chandrasagar insisted that his wife stayed with his parents when he went on duty.
The
accused, Roja Rani and her family members had a quarrel with the
constable at his house on Monday night and in a fit of rage they beat
him death.
Following a complaint, the Mudinepalli
police registered a case against the constable’s wife and in-laws on
Tuesday and took up investigation.
