C. Srinivas, the father of the six-year-old Athidhi who has gone missing
since last Thursday, had met Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on
Tuesday, in Visakhapatnam.
The Chief Minister who listened to Mr. Srinivas for over 10 minutes,
said that he had been receiving updates on the search operation on a
day-to-day basis and was fully aware of the developments.
Saddened by the sudden disappearance of the six-year-old, Mr.
Chandrababu Naidu has instructed the Commissioner of Police of
Visakhapatnam to probe all possible angles.
He apparently told Mr. Srinivas that all department heads such as the
GVMC Commissioner, District Collector and the police chief have been
instructed to work in coordination and solve the mystery surrounding the
disappearance of the child at the earliest.
Basing on Mr. Srinivas’s request to take up a more extensive search of
the sea, the CM assured Mr. Srinivas of instructing the authorities
concerned.
Athidhi had gone missing after she had slipped into a storm water drain
near Dr. V.S. Krishna Government College, HB Colony in Visakhapatnam on
last Thursday evening, while retuning home from a private tuition.
